Job Description

To translate design ideas and concepts into design documentation coordinated with overall project technical and other requirements, and consultant disciplines. To drive project document development based on in-depth understanding and analysis of design concept, project type, client, competition, code and technical requirements and details.

Responsibilities Organizing presentations and construction documents

Producing construction documents including plans, sections and details

Managing consultant team coordination

Developing technical detailing including innovative conditions

Designing with model US building codes

Implementing sustainability strategies

Conducting Quality Assurance Reviews of working drawings

Working with builders during construction

Supporting innovative projects requiring design collaboration with construction trades

Working collaboratively with small fast-paced teams

Managing time independently to meet deadlines

Cultural, community or residential projects

Qualifications 5-10 years experience working in a professional architecture practice

US Citizen, or current US Green Card while on track to citizenship

Bachelor or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution

Software Proficiency: Rhino/SketchUp modeling, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Fluent or business level English language proficiency

Entrepreneurial/problem solving/creative mindset

This is a full-time, in-office (in-person) position for our Phoenix, AZ and Santa Barbara, CA offices. Studio Ma offers a best-in-class compensation and benefits package, including paid time off, health, disability, and 401(K) plans. Salary dependent on level of experience.
