The Corrosion EIT/Coordinator should have a basic understanding of corrosion mechanisms and materials science. The role requires having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in an appropriate discipline and involves a split between office work and fieldwork. Office duties include preparing for field work, compiling field data, and writing reports and technical memorandums. Field duties include performing assessments on pipelines and concrete structures in the water, wastewater, and transportation industries. Field work may involve entering confined spaces, work near traffic, and work in wastewater structures. The role requires frequent national travel for field work and includes classroom and hands-on training to perform fieldwork safely and effectively. Responsibilities

Conduct analyses to develop chemical or process-related design options or recommendations and assist in preparing project deliverables (examples include engineering drawing packages, cost estimates, and project specifications). Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures. Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables. Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects. Collaborate with Project Engineers, Engineers In-Training (EITs), Designers, or BIM Specialists as needed. Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate, have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, or will receive within the first year of employment Ability to work both independently on small projects and in a team setting on larger projects Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word Strong written and verbal communication skills

The expected compensation range for this position is $72,650.00 - $111,694.00 annually depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
