What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Develop and deliver distance education and onsite lab immersive learning experiences for students
Create and assess student performance using both traditional and nontraditional methods
Maintain accurate records of student participation and grades
Provide timely academic performance feedback to students and review course evaluations
Engage in service activities and leadership roles within the department and institution
What is Required (Qualifications)
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, academic doctorate in Physical Therapy, or related field
Active Physical Therapy license or eligibility for licensure in Tennessee
Minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice
Prior teaching experience in a CAPTE accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy program
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Knowledge of CAPTE accreditation standards
Evidence of an active research and scholarly agenda
Experience working with diverse student populations and a commitment to improving access for underrepresented students
Strong organizational and technology skills, adaptable to changing priorities
Involvement in a national/international professional association related to the discipline
