The College of Medicine, one of the oldest in the country, excels in training healthcare professionals and advancing medical research. In partnership with UC Health and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, our faculty are pioneering in medicine daily. The Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences (DEPHS) is a top-tier department with renowned faculty. We are seeking a full-time, open rank, education track faculty member in DEPHS. UC is a leading public research university ranked among America's top 26 by NSF and in the Top Tier by US News. The department conducts world-class research in environmental and occupational health, supported by various federal agencies and foundations. The department offers a CEPH-accredited MPH program with concentrations including biostatistics, epidemiology, environmental health, global health, health education, health services, and occupational health. Collaborative opportunities exist with community partners and health systems such as Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Essential Functions
Lead applied practical experiences (APE) and integrated learning experiences (ILE), ensuring CEPH accreditation standards are met, and develop community partnerships. Teach graduate courses in public health practice, health systems, policy, or related areas. Mentor students academically and professionally, supporting their success in APE and ILE. Contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and community engagement activities. Collaborate with faculty and leadership to promote program success and student satisfaction. Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation efforts, and strategic planning. Uphold policies for effective course and program management. Required Education
Doctoral degree (DrPH, PhD, or equivalent) in public health or related fields such as health education, health behavior, health services, health economics, or health leadership. Required Experience
Graduate teaching experience in public health. Mentoring and advising graduate students. Experience in community or applied public health practice. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Experience coordinating CEPH-accredited APE, ILE, or fieldwork components. Knowledge of CEPH standards and accreditation. Experience in curriculum development, community-engaged scholarship, and working with diverse populations. Additional Information
