Journeyman HVAC Mechanic - (DOE - F) 2nd shift role at EMCOR Government Services, Inc. (Washington, DC). Job Summary
EMCOR Government Services is seeking a talented Journeyman HVAC Mechanic for the DOE in Washington, DC. The HVAC Mechanic will operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair and perform routine preventive maintenance services on base building HVAC and other related mechanical equipment. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. The schedule is on the 2nd Shift: Sunday – Thursday 3:00pm-11:00pm. Major Duties and Responsibilities
Installs, services and repairs environment-control systems in commercial buildings, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout. Mounts compressor and condenser units on platforms or floor using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications. Familiarity with Screw Type and Reciprocating Chiller. Installs, services, and maintains environmental equipment/control systems. Extensive knowledge of packaged direct expansion units, split systems, chilled water piping systems, DDC, pneumatic, and electric controls. Troubleshoots electrical circuits/components for refrigeration equipment and refrigerant piping systems. Reading ladder and line wiring diagrams. Assists estimators with HVAC layout within buildings. Communicates effectively with customers and coworkers and maintains composure under pressure. Maintains organizational skills with paperwork and refrigeration/parts inventory. Rigging, handling, and moving equipment with attention to potential problem prevention. Qualifications
HVAC Journeyman or HVAC Master license (MD). Formal apprenticeship with 4+ years of training. At least 5 years of experience as a Journeyman in servicing and repair of equipment. CFC Universal certificate. Siemens Apogee Factory training and/or JCI Metasys Factory Training preferred Must have or be able to obtain Government Clearance (L Level). Must be able to work 2nd Shift: Sunday – Thursday 3:00pm-11:00pm. Compensation
