Position Overview
Coronado School of Performing Arts is seeking a
Professional Teaching Artist
with expertise in
musical theatre
and
drama scene study
to inspire students in our after-school performing arts program. In this engaging class, students will
write, direct, and perform
their own original scenes—building creativity, confidence, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
Lead a weekly one-hour class focused on musical theatre performance and drama scene study.
Teach acting techniques, stage presence, and storytelling fundamentals.
Guide students in developing, writing, and directing their own original scenes.
Foster a supportive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment.
Qualifications
Experience in theatre education, acting, or directing (preferred).
Ability to work with diverse student groups and age ranges.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Passion for mentoring and inspiring young performers.
