Primary Purpose Responsible for leading and supervising the accounting and reporting activities of PALNG expansion entities. This role acts as team lead for the monthly accounting close, as well as performs high-level, complex accounting assignments and related analysis. Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and lead the PALNG expansion entities\' accounting close, consistent with Sempra Global and Sempra Energy\’s accounting practices and generally accepted accounting principles. Coordinate internal and external financial reporting to the parent company and external stakeholders, including preparation and/or review of consolidation and related disclosures. Prepare and/or review the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow and related variance analyses against plan and prior year. Manage the execution of cost/spend reporting. Stand up the accounting function associated with PALNG expansion. Supervise and assist staff with monthly tasks, review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules. Coordinate Internal Audit’s financial audits and Joint Venture audits of PALNG expansion entities. Research and document technical accounting issues in accordance with US GAAP related to BU transactions. Work closely with independent external auditors on the annual audit of affiliated legal entities based on GAAP. Work closely with Joint Venture partners in providing financial reports and handling ad hoc information requests. Coordinate with Shared Services and PALNG Accounting teams for receipt and review of financial information. Review budget reports for cost centers and project cost reports for development projects. Oversee and manage the monthly general ledger closing cycle for multiple companies. Coordinate Sempra Energy’s tax, treasury and legal services as it relates to PALNG’s expansion entities accounting activities and policies. Coordinate SOX 404 compliance and ensure accounting records and controls are SOX compliant. Assist the PALNG expansion business in its record retention of contracts and key corporate documents. Manage personnel requirements of the PALNG accounting organization, including hiring, career development, performance standards and management training. Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties). Requirements

Required Qualifications Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience. 8+ years of accounting and industry experience with knowledge of advanced accounting theory. Ability to convey complex technical matters clearly in verbal and written communications to a broad audience. Thorough knowledge of accounting methods and techniques and ability to apply them in problem solving. Thorough knowledge of GAAP. Leadership, teambuilding, organizing, planning, controlling, coordinating and delegation skills to manage and develop staff. Ability to work in a large, complex organization and build internal and external relationships to achieve objectives. Preferred Qualifications CPA (Certified Public Accountant) CMA (Certified Management Accountant) MBA or advanced degree
