Responsibilities and progression

Obtain Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7 and Series 66) through dedicated classes. Licenses are required: SIE within 60 days of hire; Series 7 and 66 within 120 days (Series 63 & 65 may be accepted in lieu of 66).

Develop foundational skills to become an advisor: acquire, build and manage client relationships; assess a client’s financial picture; guide clients with advice and solutions to help them live their best financial lives.

Start as a centralized Financial Solutions Advisor (FSA) and progress through the Advisor Development Program toward Merrill Financial Advisor roles.

Deliver holistic financial advice by identifying product and service solutions that meet investment, savings and liability management needs; align Merrill and Bank of America offerings where appropriate.

Interact with affluent and high-net-worth clients, review investment goals, develop relationships, and prepare investment recommendations.

Work through stages of development with training and guidance to move into the Merrill Financial Advisor role.

Provide end-to-end client service, including client reviews/presentations and recommendation of strategies to achieve goals and life priorities.

Program and environment

The centralized segment features phone-based licensed advisors (Series 7 and 66 required).

Collaborate with core banking and investment partners to connect clients with Bank of America and Merrill solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Displays confidence in a sales role; builds strong client relationships; demonstrates proactive time management; maintains a results-driven mindset; identifies appropriate client solutions; applies regulatory due diligence in daily activities.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and/or at least one year of financial services industry or sales experience; ability to learn and adapt to new technology; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. All employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to termination.
