Overview
OSF HealthCare is seeking a Charge Description Master (CDM)/Charge Capture Analyst. The Analyst ensures complete, accurate, timely and compliant charge capture within OSF HealthCare. This position supports the management and coordination of the CDM and assists with annual CDM reviews, charge master reviews, audits and reconciliation of charges. Guides facilities for coding inquiries related to CDM and opportunities to optimize reimbursement through proper matching of revenue codes and HCPCS/CPT codes.
Responsibilities
Maintain and optimize the charge description master (CDM) with accurate charge data.
Support management and coordination of the CDM across facilities.
Perform charge master reviews, audits and reconciliation of charges to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist with the annual CDM review and provide guidance to facilities for coding inquiries related to CDM.
Identify opportunities to optimize reimbursement through proper matching of revenue codes and HCPCS/CPT codes.
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate\'s Degree and 3 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, or High School diploma with 5 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
Working knowledge of hospital billing, coding, charging and charge capture.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor\'s Degree in Healthcare, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Proficiency in EPIC RHIA, RHIT or Coding Certification.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong computer skills with Microsoft software; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented.
Employment details Position type: Full-time (salaried). Location: Remote near OSF location; candidates with coding experience and knowledge of chargemaster are encouraged to apply.
Compensation Base pay range: $29.01/hr - $34.13/hr. Expected pay is $29.01 - $34.13/hour; actual pay determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
