Job Duties And Responsibilities
Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing internal audits, controls, and checks across all departments.
Lead and direct day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general accounting, and cost accounting.
Develop, improve, and issue timely monthly financial records for executive management and Corporate Office.
Ensure financial plans are aligned with organizational goals.
Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate ventures, programs, capital expenditures, product costing, etc.
Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate appropriate credit resources under competitive terms.
Interface with outside audit firms, banks and lessors, insurance agents, credit card companies, and collection agencies.
Provide visionary, strategic, and functional leadership on behalf of finance and accounting in line with strategic objectives.
Act as a key member of the executive leadership team.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet company objectives.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
2 years of corporate accounting management experience; hotel experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Understanding of GAAP and USALI.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Strong leadership and time management skills.
Detail oriented; committed to excellence.
Knowledge of hotel operations as they affect the accounting department.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to identify and solve problems, analyze data, and maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data.
Compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
