Medical Biller - Insurance Specialist
to join our Revenue Cycle team. In this role, you’ll manage insurance claims processing, payer follow-up, and denial resolution to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Your expertise in claims management and problem-solving helps support both our patients and our practice. About the Role This is a full-time, benefitted
Hybrid Position . The schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Free on-site parking is available when you are at our Corporate Office in Fairfax. The expectation is that you are in the office 1 day/week. Hybrid work schedule is implemented upon successful completion of your training on site. What You’ll Do Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims (electronic and paper) using HDL, Waystar, and internal billing systems Conduct follow-up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims; submit corrected claims or appeals as needed Identify and investigate insurance underpayments and initiate recovery actions Monitor payer aging reports and prioritize resolution of outstanding claims Communicate directly with insurance companies and internal departments to resolve claim issues Track and analyze denial and payment trends; participate in monthly payer meetings Provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior team members on payer workflows and system use What You’ll Bring High school diploma or equivalent required 1+ years' experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or revenue cycle operations Strong knowledge of payer rules, reimbursement methodologies, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) Proficiency with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding concepts Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative team environment Why You’ll Love Working Here Fairfax Radiology Centers offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance Generous PTO and paid holidays Employer-paid short- and long-term disability insurance Profit Sharing Plan Tuition Reimbursement Opportunities for growth and development within revenue cycle management Who We Are Fairfax Radiology Centers, LLC (FRC) is the largest radiology practice in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
