Instructional Coordinators (ICs) bring professional-level industry experience in the specific content areas of the MBA programs. This experience adds value and reinforces academic content to online graduate students. The College of Business online MBA programs follow a lecture-capture, distributed learning model. ICs work closely with lead faculty instructors to facilitate, extend, amplify, and mediate course instruction with online students. ICs reinforce and clarify content to help each student keep pace. They collaborate with lead faculty 2-3 weeks before courses begin and continue through the course end. ICs extend the classroom experience to a large online audience. They clarify and reinforce course content, oversee approximately 35-70 online students as needed, are the primary point of communication, grade assignments, hold virtual office hours, and recommend grades to the lead faculty. ICs provide high-touch customer service to students while enabling the lead faculty to focus on content development and delivery. ICs provide high levels of student outreach, frequently connect with students, academic advisors, and team leads. They must be engaging and provide substantial and specific student feedback with quick turnaround on grades. ICs reflect department and institutional values and foster CSU’s mission. Required Job Qualifications MBA, MSBA degree or equivalent from a school of business accredited by AACSB OR earned Master’s, JD degree OR PhD or PhD candidate in a relevant field, or DBA or equivalent Five years of full-time professional experience with progression in responsibility or equivalent teaching experience in required topic area Excellent written communication skills Demonstrated ability to self-direct and self-motivate Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience delivering supplemental teaching/coaching to students to promote mastery and provide specific content feedback Willingness and ability to work weekends, early morning hours, and evening hours Technical and academic current skills/experience in one or more MBA content areas (Accounting, Marketing, Leadership, International Business, Finance, Economics, Legal and Ethical Business Environment, Strategy, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Statistics) Technology to work online and load necessary software or have access to this technology Legal authorization to work in the US Preferred Job Qualifications 2+ years’ experience in the online learning environment 2+ years’ experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) such as Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, etc. Experience with marketing data analytics tools (e.g., AdWords, WordPress, SEO) Special Instructions to Applicants
