Seeking an energetic, nurturing educator who enjoys spending time with young children. The candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with Early Childhood Education coursework and a Gateways Level 4 Early Childhood Education credential or higher. The role provides effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning, assessment, evaluation and related research for toddlers. The position involves facilitating developmentally appropriate learning experiences, supervising all assigned children and fostering a supportive and positive classroom environment. This position offers an annual salary of $46,500 with medical, vision, dental, paid time off, 401K and other voluntary benefits. Responsibilities
Ensures that all children within the classroom have sufficient, high quality observations, maintains up-to-date documentation in databases (Teaching Strategies GOLD), child education files and child portfolios. Ensures the individual needs of each child are met as mandated by Head Start, COA, federal, state and local standards. Serves as a co-leader for the classroom team, providing thoughtful guidance to children, families, teaching team, volunteers and other visitors. Facilitates an inclusive environment where children can learn in-group lesson plans through collaboration from the entire teaching team. Communicates with families and reports child progress through scheduled parent-teacher conferences and home visits. Works on other Adhoc projects as deemed necessary by the Early Learning Academy Program Director. Position Details
