The Analytical Commercialization Technology (ACT) department within Analytical Chemistry in Development and Supply (ACDS) is seeking applicants for Scientist positions at our West Point, PA site. The successful candidate will utilize analytical characterization technologies in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment supporting small molecule drug product late-stage development and commercialization.
The Scientist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, stability sample analysis in a cGMP environment, method development and validation, implementing new technology or continuous improvement measures for optimized laboratory operations, involvement in quality audits, and participating in analytical investigations as well as technical or quality initiatives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Process and product characterization
Analytical method development and validation
Stability testing
Contribute to relevant analytical sections of regulatory submissions
This position provides you with ample opportunities to keep abreast of innovative and novel scientific developments in the pharmaceutical industry by presenting your own work at meetings, attending seminars, and reading relevant literature.
Education Minimum Requirement:
BS/BA in Chemistry or other related physical sciences discipline with at least 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical development experience OR MS in Chemistry or other related physical sciences discipline.
Required Experience and Skills:
Familiarity with theory and performing common analytical techniques such as UPLC/HPLC, dissolution, and/or Karl Fischer titration.
Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and oral communication
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Experience with method development and validation
Familiarity with authoring relevant analytical sections of a regulatory submission
