Base pay range
$85,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr An international chemical manufacturing company is seeking an EHS Specialist for their new facility in Houston, TX. The EHS Specialist will be the subject matter expert for all matters related to Environmental and Safety compliance at the site. This represents an opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of key programs, drive meaningful change, and make a positive impact at the site. The Role:
Manage and maintain all site-based Environmental permits and programs Conduct EHS audits and ensure compliance with local and federal regulatory agencies, ensuring all reports and documentation are maintained Train and influence site leadership and employees on EHS best practices to drive the EHS performance and results Interface with state and federal regulatory agencies The Candidate:
3+ years with EHS experience in a chemical manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience overseeing EHS programs and systems at the site level Knowledge of local and federal regulatory requirements, SWPPP, and hazardous waste management Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Safety Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical field Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others Seniority level
