Applications are invited for a tenure-track assistant professorship in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Delaware. Preference will be given to candidates in computational mathematics with an emphasis on data science and/or artificial intelligence. QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the Department of Mathematical Sciences. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of significant research achievements; strong potential for obtaining external research funding; relevant knowledge and willingness to contribute to department and university teaching and service missions; experience showing promise of effective teaching at the undergraduate level; interest in advising and teaching at the PhD level; and a commitment to creating an inclusive classroom environment. Expertise or interest in computational mathematics with an emphasis on data science and/or artificial intelligence will be preferred. The successful candidate is expected to strengthen and broaden multiple research initiatives in the department and enable interdisciplinary collaborations across campus. Applicants must have received a doctoral degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a closely related discipline by the start date of the position. Research-active faculty typically have a 2–1 teaching load. Department of Mathematical Sciences at UD
