Base pay range: $60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Position: Executive Sous Chef; Location: Bludorn Restaurant, 807 Taft St. Houston, TX Executive Sous Chefs are key leaders of restaurant operations who oversee the preparing, cooking, and plating of dishes; assist in organizing ingredients; and help keep the kitchen pristine for service. Arrive on-time according to posted schedule and assemble necessary items for the workstation Use the mise-en-place sheet to chop, cook, and prepare ingredients to Bludorn standards Assist in cooking staff meal on a rotating basis Receive and organize orders to various parts of the kitchen Attend and contribute to a daily cooks meeting Clean the kitchen and maintain an organized station Prepare the workstation for service with labeled, organized ingredients Set up oyster bar with ice and oysters as needed During service, cook, chop, prepare, and plate dishes from the assigned station Write a daily prep list for the following shift for approval Store ingredients safely with proper labeling and temperatures Assist in daily/nightly cleaning of the kitchen and walk-in fridges Adapt to the needs of the kitchen team, including working different stations as needed Responsibilities

Oversee preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes Assist in organizing ingredients and maintaining kitchen cleanliness Qualifications

Passionate about food and professional kitchen work Background knowledge of cooking techniques (grilling, sautéing, frying, roasting, etc.), safe knife usage, and proper cooling/storing methods Understand portioning and measurements in metric and imperial systems Eager to learn, develop culinary skills, and be coached by peers Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team Punctual, organized, and proactive attitude Cool under pressure and able to meet deadlines Clear and professional communication with colleagues and guests Wear a mask and follow safety protocols as required About Bludorn
