Overview
NUWAY Alliance is seeking a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) - Full-Time at NUWAY II (Residential). Counselors provide services to support effective personal development with clients individually and in group settings, in alignment with Minnesota DHS requirements. The role includes working to ensure client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements. The anticipated salary is $70,000 per year. Responsibilities
Deliver treatment services to clients and ensure services are provided as mandated by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). Work with clients individually and in groups to identify and resolve issues related to substance use, mental health, and related personal, emotional, or family concerns. Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements. Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge And Experience Required
Current LADC License Age 18 or older Working knowledge of substance use disorder and/or mental health in an addiction treatment facility Previous counseling or counseling internship experience High level of computer literacy, including experience with an electronic health records (EHR) system Excellent written, verbal communication, customer service, and case management skills Ability to pass Minnesota DHS background study Demonstrated maturity, patience, empathy, and ability to work with recovering individuals and with a multidisciplinary team Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds Physical demands: sitting for extended periods; light lifting (up to 10 pounds); ability to navigate program and office environments (stairs, doorways, entrances) Proficient in English and able to document services clearly in writing Preferred
Additional Licenses: LP, LICSW, LMFT, LPCC Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field Skilled consultant and facilitator Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong facilitation, negotiation, investigation, and mediation skills Equal Opportunity Employment
