Responsibilities

Disciple young men, demonstrate a commitment to excellence and display character at all times

Execute the plan designed by the Sports Director or Head Coach

Attend Coaches meetings

Be accountable for personal growth as well as church, outreach, and family

Continuing education and mastery of the game (i.e. schemes, techniques)

Assist with field/weight room/locker room set up and break down

Counseling resource for the players

Qualifications

A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ

A strong commitment to the philosophies and Statement of Faith of Calvary Chapel

Previous coaching experience in the desired sport of application

Excellent communication skills

A good working relationship with children, parents, and staff

Able to control emotions; slow to anger

Able to remain calm and organized during busy schedules

Spiritually mature

Able to counsel, comfort, and offer support to students

Able to maintain order and structure in a large group of children

Gifts of leadership, organization, and service

Willingness to submit to authority

Enthusiastic and positive attitude

Genuine love for our student-athletes and each other
