The Department of Clinical Mental Health Counseling offers CACREP accredited master\'s degree programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. We seek applicants with a strong identity as a counselor, educator, and scholar. Position Description

Teaching three counseling curriculum courses (9 credits) per semester as dependent on departmental needs and candidate expertise. Curriculum, course, and program assessment and development. Student advising, mentoring, and clinical supervision. Cooperative work with agencies, and the regional community. Productive engagement with research and scholarly activities. Service to the Department, University, and the profession. Participation in the student recruitment and selection process. Qualifications

A Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited program or have their degree completed within one year of the date of hire. Practical experience and evidence of professional counseling credential(s) through licensure or certification. A demonstrated commitment to the counseling profession through sustained membership in professional organizations, research and scholarly activity (commensurate with experience), service, and/or professional development and continuing education. Specialization in either clinical mental health counseling. Experience teaching core mental health counseling, mentoring, and supervising students. Evidence of ability to deliver instruction effectively in both online (asynchronous and synchronous) and in-person formats. Dedication to infusing a social justice minded approach reflective of our Vincentian mission across all course work. Critical cultural awareness, a commitment to fostering a sense of community within the department and university, and an ability to maintain professional attitudes and ethical behavior. An ability to work collaboratively, collegially, and respectfully with internal and external stakeholders to promote the mission of the Department, School, and University. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications

Strong professional identity and commitment to counselor education, especially in clinical mental health counseling. Prior teaching and supervision experience. A commitment to diversity initiatives and training counselors to work with diverse clients. Education and Rank

Minimum Education Requirements: An earned doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program (ABD with completion by June 2025 will be considered). Possession of, or eligibility for, additional credentials (e.g., NCC, LPC, ACS). Preferred Qualifications: Leadership experience and a proven track record of working with clinical mental health counseling initiatives including experience teaching CACREP common core areas, and supervision of counselors in training in practicum and internship. $65,000 – $70,000 per year
