The University of Florida Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a full or part-time Classical Hematologist for a clinician-educator or clinician-researcher track position in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant Professor rank or higher. This position seeks a board-certified/board-eligible Hematologist. Applicants must be eligible for a Florida Medical License. This individual will have a primarily clinical assignment but will also be expected to develop, participate in, and lead clinical/educational/translational research projects; embrace team-oriented research; engage in teaching students, housestaff, and fellows in the clinic and inpatient settings; and provide direct patient care at our Gainesville campus. A track record of prior clinical research and scholarly activity is desirable, but not required. Academic interests could include bleeding disorders, thrombotic disorders, hemoglobinopathies, disorders of hemostasis and coagulation, anemias, platelet disorders, microangiopathic hemolytic anemias, and women’s health. The UF Division of Hematology and Oncology faculty are closely engaged and partners with the University of Florida Health Cancer Center, the only NCI-Designated Cancer Center based at a public university in Florida.
