The role involves analyzing requirements to determine the feasibility of automation, participating in regression testing, and developing and maintaining scalable, reusable automated test scripts. Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with dev teams for timely resolution and retesting; improve QA delivery and quality through test strategy and process improvements; contribute to testing best practices. Develop UI test automation scripts using Cypress, Mocha/BDD, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Playwright. Validate front-end applications and APIs. Create API automation scripts with Cypress, Rest-Assured, and Postman. Test responsive applications across various platforms and browsers. Work with AWS services like DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, S3, EC2, and Lambda. Required Skills & Experience
5 to 7 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layer. Hands on experience writing, maintaining automated UI and API tests in Java, JavaScript, C#, Python using Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc. Hands on experience in OOP languages like Java, C# and scripting languages like Python, Perl, Shell, Bash. Experience with API and Microservices testing and automation. Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) with frameworks like Cucumber, JBehave. Hands on experience with SQL (preferred), Oracle, MySQL and/or NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.). Experience deploying applications in AWS or OpenShift (Kubernetes). Experience automating backend REST services using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Karate, Cypress, ReadyAPI, etc. Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch using modular design patterns such as Page Object Model (POM). Experience in distributed Agile environments using frameworks like SCRUM, SAFe, XP. Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI; ability to independently create and maintain automation test jobs. Experience with source control tools like GitLab, GitHub, AWS CodeCommit. Experience creating test reports from automation runs using cucumber reports, Extent reports, etc. Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and evolving technologies; strong written and verbal communication; collaborative mindset; customer-focused. Knowledge of the Travel Industry. Infrastructure automation using Docker and tools like Chef, Puppet, Terraform. Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, CodePipeline, CloudFormation. Experience virtualization for test automation using tools like WireMock, Mockito. Experience with test management and agile tools such as VersionOne, qTest. Experience with container orchestration tools such as Docker, Red Hat OpenShift, AWS CloudFormation. Experience with non-functional testing: performance, load, stress, security, accessibility, and usability testing.
