Job Description:
Designed Theatre Visions seeks a friendly, experienced full-time Lead AV Technician / Control System and Network Programmer. You'll develop, install, program, and debug audio/video, network, surveillance, Savant, and Control4 systems from concept to completion. This role requires confidence in leading a team of installers and managing setups, sharing knowledge, assisting with complex projects, and ensuring our systems are simple, practical, and maintainable. Troubleshooting and problem-solving are key, and a positive, team-oriented attitude is essential.
As a technician, you\'ll lead AV installation projects independently or with our team. This includes setting up home theater systems, building AV racks, running wires, installing and configuring network/Wi-Fi systems, surveillance, home automation, and managing hardware setup and programming, among other role-oriented tasks as assigned by the Supervisor. It\'s a hands-on role with variety that showcases your skills and expertise.

PLEASE NOTE:
NOT an IT, stage theater, or sound engineer position. It is a field technical position with experience in residential audio/video, home automation, and integration.
Job Qualifications Desired
Control4 Programmer certification is mandatory.
Savant Programmer certification is desired but is not mandatory.
5+ years of direct home automation and control system programming experience is mandatory.
Understanding low-voltage terminology, device knowledge, and cable termination types is mandatory.
Extensive knowledge and experience in setting up audio/video equipment is mandatory.
Advanced networking configuration and programming knowledge is highly desired.
Ability to systematically identify and solve technical problems is mandatory.
Alarm system configuration and programming skills are a plus.
Lutron system configuration and programming skills are a plus.
Skills Required
Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding safely.
Must be able to stand, kneel, and crouch for long periods of time.
Must be able to run cables in new and existing homes and buildings, including attics.
Ability to lift sizable equipment, tools, electronics, etc. occasionally exceeding 50 lbs.
Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach to all ongoing activities at all times.
Must demonstrate a strong desire to work in and contribute to a successful team environment.
Must be self-motivated, as duties are often required to be performed without direct supervision.
Must possess a professional work ethic and represent Designed Theatre Visions professionally.
Must have a willingness to learn new concepts, methods, and technology constantly.
Must be energetic, independent, and able to handle a wide range of tasks.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Well organized, as duties are often required to be performed without direct supervision.
Ability to document work and turn in work orders promptly via a company-provided software platform.
Excellent time management skills, such as prompt arrival for work and adherence to a tight installation schedule.
Must pass a drug test and have a clean record with no criminal convictions or felonies.
Must maintain a valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record at all times.
Must have a clean and neat appearance at all times.
