Provide immediate assistance and support to victims, integrating trauma-informed care into every interaction. Perform crisis intervention, undertake comprehensive case management, and facilitate access to legal assistance. Maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure victims receive necessary resources. Coordinate emergency and follow-up resources within the community, state, and/or federal arena. Communicate effectively to prepare clear, concise documents and reports. Coordinate forensic interviews and sexual assault examinations as part of victim advocacy efforts. Advocate for victims by offering emotional support while maintaining confidentiality. Treat all individuals with patience, sensitivity, respect, and dignity. Salary

Pay Level: GS 11–12: $63,163.00–$117,034.00 Salary shown is base pay for the grade level and is commensurate with experience. Major Duties

Respond to crime scenes to assess, triage, and provide direct crisis intervention services. Refer victims for counseling, employment, housing, immigration, medical, and legal services. Maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure resources are available. Identify and maintain emergency and follow-up resources within various jurisdictions. Prepare presentations and written reports with clear communication. Coordinate forensic interviews and sexual assault examinations. Act as an advocate for victims of crime with high standards of confidentiality. Specialized Experience

GS-11

One year of specialized experience (SE) equivalent to GS-9: work in law enforcement or a victim service agency to assess, triage, and provide crisis intervention and assistance to victims of violent crime; perform direct client services and/or program development. GS-12

One year of specialized experience (SE) equivalent to GS-11: provide consultation and technical assistance to local agencies; develop training materials; coordinate programs for victims of violent crime. Key Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance. Must be willing to travel as required. Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements. Education

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S.-accredited college or university in behavioral or social science, or a related field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Victimology, Gender and Women’s Studies).
