Overview The Surgical Sciences Division at the Department of Surgery is seeking a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researcher with a strong research background in molecular and cellular biology. Research in our lab focuses on epigenetic and genetic mechanisms of pathologic conditions that occurred during liver and kidney transplantation by using state-of-the-art technologies such as single cell genomics. Our Division provides the postdoctoral researcher with unique opportunities to be exposed to a broad range of concepts, techniques, and collaborative projects. Selected candidates will perform highly interdisciplinary and translational scientific research involving human cell lines, mouse models, and clinical samples.

Responsibilities

Contribute to interdisciplinary and translational scientific research involving human cell lines, mouse models, and clinical samples.

Study epigenetic and genetic mechanisms of pathologic conditions in liver and kidney transplantation using state-of-the-art technologies such as single-cell genomics.

Collaborate across divisions, participate in broader projects, and assist with project planning, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Qualifications

Individuals with Ph.D. and/or M.D. are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will have hypothesis-driven molecular biology research with a published scientific paper.

Experience in analysis of genomics data and next-generation sequencing library preparations such as RNA-seq, ChIP-Seq is preferred.
