The Research Technical Assistant prepares experimental materials and subject animals, participates in experimental processes, executes standard experimental protocols, and performs data management and analysis. The role is in a prototyping wet-lab environment requiring meticulous attention to experimental details. Responsibilities
Management and preparation for experiments. Cell line maintenance and archive. Cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques. Scheduled preparation of experimental tumor models in mice. Selection, monitoring, and treatment of animals with radio/immunotherapy. Preparation of mice for experimental procedures. Administration and maintenance of anesthesia in mice during procedures. Advancing new experimental protocols through regulatory and administrative processes. Physical upkeep of laboratory equipment and spaces. Provide technical and administrative support in a laboratory environment, performing basic techniques, research and analysis under direction. Collect data, assist in analysis, and help prepare reports, manuscripts and other documents. Comply with institution, state, and federal regulatory policies and mandates. Performs other related work as needed. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in related field (a four-year degree not typically required). Work Experience
Knowledge and skills developed through less than 2 years of related work experience. Certifications
