Overview
Washington and Lee University School of Law invites applications for up to two tenure-track or tenured faculty positions beginning July 1, 2026. We aim to advance scholarship and teaching; applications from candidates contributing to the university's mission are welcome.

Qualifications A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or equivalent is required. We encourage applications from entry-level and junior lateral candidates to join at the Assistant or Associate Professor level; applications from candidates at all levels of experience will be considered. Candidates should have a distinguished record of scholarly achievement or demonstrated potential, effective teaching, active service, and a record of inclusion. Areas of interest include tax law, professional responsibility/legal ethics, and/or constitutional law.
