API Java Developer (5–7 Years Experience) Domain: BFSI – Credit Card Applications preferred. For now: EAD / GC / USC. About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated API Java Developer with 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying robust APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to external API integrations, API management platforms like AKANA and Apigee, and a solid understanding of the BFSI domain—particularly in credit card applications. Key Responsibilities
Review and analysis of business requirements and involvement in high-level and low-level analysis and design. Create wireframes and front-end applications using JSP, React. Develop Java/J2EE applications using Spring framework features (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring IOC, Spring AOP, Spring Security and Spring Annotations). Develop back-end services using SOAP and REST frameworks in Java, Spring Boot and deploy in cloud environments including OpenShift and AWS. Deploy applications in AWS environment using various AWS services including AWS EKS, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, EC2. Develop backend data streaming services using Apache Kafka, GridGain, Apache Ignite. Integrate Single-Sign-On using Spring Security. Write shell scripts from scratch in Unix and Chef cookbooks for app deployments. Create and build docker images using Jenkins and push to image registry. Develop microservices components and micro front ends using Spring, Spring-Boot and React. Write and deploy HTTP web proxy, reverse proxy configurations using Apache HTTPD and NGINX. Build and deploy secure gateway application using Spring Cloud Gateway. Develop and optimize SQL queries to store and retrieve data using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Create Jenkins & GitLab build pipelines and integrate with public and private cloud to build and deploy artifacts. Resolve incidents by pulling required data using ELK (Kibana) or Splunk tools. Follow Test Driven Development (TDD) and Scrum concepts of Agile Methodology to produce high quality software. Required Skills & Experience
Languages: Java, JavaScript, Unix Shell, Python scripting. Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, JDBC, Hibernate, JMS (MQ), JUnit, OpenShift Cloud and AWS. Web technologies: JavaScript, React. Servers/Tools: Apache Tomcat, HTTPD, NGiNX. IDEs/Utilities: IntelliJ IDEA, SQL Developer, HashiCorp Vault. Database: Oracle, DynamoDB.
