Overview Storeroom Manager position in Clatskanie, Oregon within a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing facility. Manage an inventory valued at $40 million and 25,000 part numbers. This role requires a hands-on leader who can supervise the storeroom team and drive inventory accuracy, safety, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement in support of production and maintenance objectives.

What You Will Do

Provide leadership for the storeroom, including supervision, safety management, and skills development; conduct growth conversations with hourly team members.

Leverage the stores team to maximize results for Georgia-Pacific.

Maintain a progressive customer focus and value creation in stores and the team.

Ensure inventory management excellence: security, proper storage and maintenance, timely receipt and issuance, inventory count and reconciliation, new item justification, timely reviews for obsolescence and proper quantities.

Meet compliance requirements for inventory accuracy, financial controls, environmental and quality verifications, with a focus on receiving, putaways, pick/issue, internal transfer, repair/return, and warehouse management.

Ensure storerooms are disciplined, optimized, reliable, and support defined asset strategies.

Maintain high safety, housekeeping, organized storage layout and efficient parts flow.

Collaborate with central capability, storeroom team, customers and suppliers to optimize inventory availability and carrying costs in support of production and maintenance objectives.

Work with mill leaders to drive proper work processes.

Develop strong internal and external partnerships aligned with strategic initiatives and supply chain strategies.

Participate in operations meetings to develop action plans for process improvements and inventory control problem resolution.

Represent the facility and corporate headquarters in meetings with Store Managers to advance inventory management excellence and improvement initiatives.

Create and analyze computer-generated reports to identify actions for problem resolution and performance improvement.

Use metrics to measure key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement and waste elimination in stores processes and inventory management.

Work within SAP S/4HANA to resolve system and process-related issues.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of experience in inventory management, procurement, supply chain and/or maintenance.

Experience supervising teams of 10+ direct reports.

Willingness to work flexible and extended hours (e.g., extended days, night shift, weekends) as needed.

Ability to maintain focus on and drive critical KPIs in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Microsoft Office experience, including Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel (filters and pivot tables).

What Will Put You Ahead

2+ years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.

Experience with inventory management systems (SAP S/4HANA or similar).

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (maintenance, engineering, accounting, purchasing) to implement new processes and initiatives.

Experience with union labor agreements.
