Advertising as Mainframe Systems Programmer, DB2 on z/OS. Responsibilities

As the Senior Solutions Delivery Architect, create Low Level Design (LLD) documents and provide technical knowledge to support the Sales and Solution Architecture teams. Interact with potential and new clients to assist with identifying components in scope for client onboarding and migrations. Perform client onboarding, migrations, and end-to-end server builds. Manage upgrades for DB2 on z/OS and associated ISV products. Engage in the transition from client’s in-house IT to Ensono’s support; may handle more than one migration or project simultaneously. Upgrade and support ISV software related to DB2. Test and monitor existing DB2 workloads after OS or CPU upgrades. Work with clients to debug database-related issues. Participate in Knowledge Transfer and shadowing of client environments for new clients. Collaborate with a team of mainframe professionals to transition new clients into Ensono’s support. Troubleshoot and resolve DB2 system database issues and DB2 software-related issues. Apply working knowledge of WLM with respect to DB2; strong knowledge of DB2 Utilities, TSO and FTP; and solid understanding of SMP/E and its role in installation. Note: This is not a 24x7 on-call position and is project-based. Qualifications

Minimum five years of experience in a z/OS environment; familiarity with mainframe areas such as z/OS Operating System, Storage, Databases, CICS, and Disaster Recovery concepts. Technical implementation skills for DB2 on z/OS and related ISV software on the z/OS platform. Experience with SMP/E, including base installation and maintenance for DB2 and related ISV software. Proficiency in interacting with ISV vendors and in problem determination and resolution for specified products. ISV products may include CA database tools, IBM database tools, Sysview, Omegamon, and Mainview. Ability to host meetings and conference calls; self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for creating client-facing documents. Serve as primary technical contact for mainframe databases for one or more clients during transition. Experience supporting DB2 for z/OS from a Systems or DBA perspective is required; experience with CICS or z/OS is a plus. Experience upgrading DB2 z/OS; understanding of DB2 Connect and Security exits; DB2 data sharing in a SYSPLEX environment; extracting information from DB2 logs; and DB2 database system recovery. Experience with IDAA and IMS/IMS upgrades a plus. Why Ensono?

As of the date of posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $80,000 to $150,000 annually for a full-time schedule. Placement in the range may vary based on skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual bonus plan and an equity grant under the Associate Equity Appreciation Program, depending on eligibility. Equal Opportunity
