Regent University
Regent University’s College of Arts and Sciences is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Government position, beginning Fall 2026. This position will be located at Regent University’s Virginia Beach, VA campus. Applicants should have the ability to teach introductory courses in American Politics, as well as upper-level courses on the Legislative Process, the American Presidency, the American Judicial System, and Constitutional Law. Preference will be given to candidates who can serve as faculty advisor for our undergraduate moot court team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with American political thought and history and have an appreciation for American founding principles.

Responsibilities
Teach introductory courses in American Politics.
Teach upper-level courses on the Legislative Process, the American Presidency, the American Judicial System, and Constitutional Law.
Possibly serve as faculty advisor for the undergraduate moot court team.
Qualifications
Either 1) a Ph.D. in Government or Political Science or 2) a combination of a JD and an MA in Government or Political Science.
Demonstrated teaching excellence in government/political science with scholarly potential.
Exemplary characteristics including excellence, innovation, integrity, and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring.

The ability to teach undergraduate-level courses.
