My client is a fast-growing, VC-backed AI startup transforming access to healthcare. Every year, groundbreaking medical technologies get FDA approval, yet patients often wait nearly a decade before insurers cover them. This startup is changing that reality. Their AI platform uses LLMs and AI agents to read patient records, analyse insurance policies, and generate the strongest possible arguments to win coverage for life-changing treatments. Already backed by leading investors and working with major customers, they are now scaling their engineering team. The role: Design and ship end-to-end product features (frontend, backend, or both) Translate product goals into scoped milestones and deliverables Collaborate closely with founders and designers to build simple, scalable solutions Diagnose and resolve production issues in a fast-paced environment Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, and observability practices Enhance the platform’s vertical-specific LLM orchestration capabilities What they’re looking for: 4+ years of software engineering experience, including full-stack work Entrepreneurial, self-starting mindset and comfort with ambiguity Detail-oriented, with a commitment to quality in healthcare software Nice to have: Experience with LLMs, early-stage startups, React, Node, SQL, or Kubernetes/Docker Mission-driven work improving access to life-saving treatments Competitive salary and generous early equity package Health, dental, and vision insurance Hybrid team culture with offices in New York City and Toronto Seniority level
