Kforce has a client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer IV. Summary: As a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a key role in building, automating, and securing cloud-based infrastructure within a highly regulated banking and financial services environment.
Day to day, you will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement security-first practices across development lifecycles, and support deployment strategies such as Blue/Green and Canary. You will monitor system performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure resilient, compliant, and scalable solutions.
This position requires hands-on expertise with Terraform, Python (or other modern languages), AWS or Azure, and strong networking and security fundamentals. You will also mentor teammates on DevSecOps best practices while helping the organization modernize its technology stack and meet strict regulatory standards.

High School diploma or GED and 6+ years of related post-secondary education and/or experience in Information Security or Information Technology Strong background in AWS Terraform expertise Proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, .NET, NodeJS (multiple languages preferred) Experience with networking and firewalls, API knowledge, and operational support roles Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including development as code using YAML specs and Ansible playbooks Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, services, and architectural patterns (VMs, containers, serverless, managed infrastructure, databases, and security services) Excellent communication skills, with the ability to mentor developers and team members on DevSecOps practices Proficiency in Python (required) and familiarity with automation and scripting Knowledge of Shift Left principles and related technologies Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git, unit testing, and pipeline automation Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of relevant DevSecOps experience AWS DevOps or Azure DevOps certification Hands-on experience building and deploying cloud-native applications (OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes Service) Knowledge of deployment strategies (Blue/Green, Canary) Experience with real-time pipeline metrics/observability Secrets management experience with HashiCorp Vault Exposure to Chaos Engineering principles to identify and resolve weaknesses in systems Familiarity with testing tools integrated into CI/CD pipelines Experience with Ansible or similar platforms Knowledge of tools such as Harness, Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Terraform, Packer The pay range for this position is $72.00/hr - $82.00/hr.
