Position Summary
Perform a variety of routine and non-routine clerical and administrative tasks in support of an assigned individual, a group of individuals, or a location. Project a professional image and maintain the necessary resources to facilitate a cohesive and productive work environment. Responsibilities
Provide office/job support to Field Operations team. Create and modify documents using MS Word and Excel. Create presentations using PowerPoint. Work directly with Local Union representatives to help with manpower needs, union memberships, union dues, etc. Work directly with IEC representatives to help with school tuition, manpower needs, and miscellaneous tasks. Assist field leadership with time entry and approval for all field personnel. Perform general clerical duties, including copying, faxing, sorting, binding, supplies inventory, and miscellaneous errands. Set-up and maintain filing systems (electronic and hard copy). Set up and coordinate meetings (conference room and teleconferencing). Take meeting minutes and transcribe dictation tapes. Act as a liaison from office to field and other company departments. Perform research via internet. Maintain manager calendar(s). Code invoices for payment. Assist with tracking various projects from beginning to end and help field leadership and personnel monitor their success. Perform additional assignments as requested. Travel Requirements: 10%. What you’ll need to be successful
Knowledge of office routines and business protocol Experience in construction terms, paperwork and processes. Strong computer skills and ability to work effectively in MS Office Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to type 50-60 WPM accurately Familiarity with office equipment (copier, fax, scanner, printer, multi-line phone system, calculator/adding machine) Ability to multi-task and prioritize Has working knowledge of Local Union and IEC labor requirements, compliance, etc. Has working knowledge of documentation, systems, and management procedures in the construction industry What you bring to the table
High school degree or equivalent with 1-2 years of business school/clerical training preferred 3-5 years of proven support/experience in the construction industry About the Company and Culture
