Overview
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of cloud-based systems and services within the Microsoft ecosystem. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of Microsoft 365 and Azure environments to support business operations and end-user productivity. Candidate will also need Networking Experience. Collaborates with End User Support, technology teams, and vendors to efficiently resolve technical issues across M365, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments. Utilizes ServiceNow to manage, document, and track support tickets, performing remote troubleshooting and delivering direct problem resolution to corporate and remote users. Provides white-glove, timely support to senior executives while promoting teamwork and proactively assisting colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery. Engages with vendors and solution providers to evaluate tools, resolve issues, and support effective technology implementations. Cloud Infrastructure & System Administration
Provisions, configures, and maintains infrastructure across multi-cloud environments, including virtual machines, containers, serverless services, storage, and networking. Manages Azure subscriptions and a variety of infrastructure resources, such as VDI, VNETs, subnets, firewalls, network security groups (NSGs), and storage accounts. Implements Infrastructure as Code using Azure ARM templates to ensure consistency and scalability. Leads or supports system patching, upgrades, and security hardening efforts. Manages and optimizes virtual networks and resource access across environments. Implements, monitors, updates, and validates disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the Azure environment. Manages all aspects of Active Directory, including but not limited to group policy, replication, and object administration. Manages all aspects of Entra ID, including but not limited to directory sync, object administration, app registrations, enterprise applications, API permission assignments, and single sign-on (SSO) configurations. Manages, supports, and provides technical expertise for all Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Entra ID, Office Web Apps, Stream, Power BI, Power Platform, MS Forms, Project Online, Security and Compliance, etc. Intune Administration: Manages and maintains the Intune and Autopilot environment, including application packaging and deployment (e.g., Win32 apps), Windows patching, and device compliance and configuration policies. Develops custom scripts and remediation solutions to support and secure Windows endpoints. Automation & Security
Writes and maintains custom scripts (PowerShell) to install new settings or deployments and remediate issues to support users. Implements and manages secure access controls across cloud platforms, including IAM roles, service principals, Azure firewalls, VPNs, identity providers, and endpoint protection. Maintains security posture by monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, identifying risks, and executing timely mitigation strategies. Supports compliance efforts with NIST, SOC 2, and state cybersecurity standards through audits, remediation, and thorough documentation of processes to reduce knowledge silos and operational risk. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field preferred or a combination of work experience. 5-7 years of experience supporting the Windows operating system. Extensive successful configuration and management experience in Microsoft 365 products (Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, SharePoint, etc.) as well as Active Directory/Intune policy implementation and troubleshooting. Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, M365 security, and compliance-related technologies (including retention policies). Deep networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, routing, firewalls, etc. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with limited supervision. Aptitude to learn and research to find answers and potential solutions. Proven ability to analyze M365 and Azure usage data to identify issues and usage patterns. Exceptional communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts into clear, everyday language for all audiences. Proven understanding of PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and analyze data. Strong teamwork orientation and proactive collaboration to support colleagues and enhance team performance. Attentive listening and customer-focused problem-solving abilities. Office: Mobility within work environments, use of office equipment, lifting up to 20 pounds, clear vision and hearing, effective communication skills, and occasional travel for meetings and training. Pay range: $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
