Overview
The Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the design and the integrity of the customer’s complex internal network, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments. They will provide expert technical assistance to team members with high-level system and networking requests. They will also secure and manage network infrastructures to protect productivity, mitigate threats, and reduce costs. This role will be responsible for designing, implementation and testing complex infrastructure in support of our customer needs. Qualifications

Required Knowledge / Skills
In-depth understanding of networking including routing, switching, network monitoring and management
Strong troubleshooting skills in network connectivity and security; ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues
Expert for SDN engagements built around Cisco ACI
Background in Cisco ACI design, planning, implementation, and testing in multi-data-center configurations
Team player with good collaboration skills
Ability to research and adopt new technologies to enhance the network
Define network strategy with respect to technology domain standards and design goals
Provide technical design and architectural leadership, including documenting and diagramming logical, physical, and process views
Experience analyzing network traffic and using tools to assess security events for rapid incident resolution
Experience designing, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting various network technologies and protocols
Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining boundary security solutions and enterprise network architecture
Good knowledge and hands-on experience with VXLAN/EVPN
Desired Knowledge / Skills
Experience with Network Access Control and segmentation
Experience with security compliance standards
Experience with site-to-site and remote access VPNs
Network programmability for automating tasks (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Python, REST APIs)
Experience with Data Center and co-location solutions related to SDN
NextGen Firewall experience
Experience configuring/administrating Cisco ACI, Cisco DCNM, OTV, VMware NSX
Experience designing network reference architectures from requirements to rollout, including capacity management and documentation
Familiarity with SDN and open-source solutions
Ability to brief complex information to senior leadership
Drive enhancements through full life cycle from concept to implementation and support
Key Responsibilities
Installation and maintenance of network equipment
Troubleshooting and resolution of network issues
Design network architectures based on customer requirements and industry best practices
Develop unique solutions to meet customer requirements and best practices
Collaborate with other IT disciplines to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
Develop and maintain configurations plans for Cisco ACI in multi-data-center configurations
Create architectural designs and present to client stakeholders
Work with infrastructure engineers to identify new products and solutions
Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure
Maintain systems and documentation for audits and compliance
Communicate with customers about incident progress, changes, or outages
Mentor and assist other engineers
Participation in 24x7 on-call rotation and after-hours support
