Overview
Clinical Applications Specialist I at ZEISS Group. Location: Florida with coverage to Savannah, GA and Puerto Rico. The Clinical Applications Specialist I (CAS I), with supervision, assembles Carl Zeiss instruments, attaches peripheral devices, performs basic equipment troubleshooting, trains technicians and/or doctors on instrument operation, and communicates basic equipment maintenance procedures in a professional manner. Responsibilities
Manage on-site trainings within a given territory by independently contacting customers, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements and addressing customer inquiries. Install equipment in medical offices, including removal from containers and performing full installation. Represent ZEISS in a professional and courteous manner. Initiate data transfer from old to new equipment. Coordinate on-site trainings of order customers by communicating with CAS in adjacent territories. Serve as the customer’s liaison to Zeiss on administrative and technical/clinical issues; request assistance as needed. Maintain regular communication with CAS team members, CAS managers, Sales Managers & Field Service Engineers and other in-house colleagues to develop strong teamwork and customer care. Begin developing the ability to identify and communicate sales leads. Use required technology tools to complete administrative tasks (expense reports, CPOs, CRM, Product Training Checklists) timely and accurately. Maintain and update knowledge on all appropriate Carl Zeiss products. Adhere to CAS responsibilities and procedures; demonstrate flexibility with territory realignment. Other duties may include setup and instruction on Zeiss equipment at conventions and seminars, and other management-assigned projects. Maintain compliance with GMP and ISO 9001 processes and procedures; abide by state and federal employment law. Qualifications
Industry standard credentialing (preferred but not required). Knowledge of the diagnostic ophthalmic industry. 3–5 years of experience in an ophthalmology clinic setting or in the diagnostic ophthalmology industry or comparable experience. Knowledge of visual fields, lensometry, refractometry, biometry and/or fundus photography; knowledge of laser scanning technology, fluorescein angiography, and/or OR experience is helpful but not mandatory. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with customers in challenging situations. Ability to tailor training for doctors and staff in operation and clinical applications. Ability to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing data or situations. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel). Ability to travel overnight and work occasional weekends. Well organized and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Valid driver’s license. Benefits
