Active Public Trust What You Will Do: Design, develop, and execute integration test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand integration points and requirements. Perform end-to-end testing of software systems, APIs, and third-party integrations. Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). Validate data flow and system interactions across multiple platforms. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices in integration testing. Provide feedback and recommendations for improving system architecture and integration design. What You Will Need: US Citizenship is required. Must have pre-existing IRS clearance. Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. At least two (2) years of experience in software testing, focusing on integration testing. Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies. Experience with testing tools like JMeter, Postman, SoapUI, Selenium, Cucumber, etc. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab). Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) is a plus. Experience with databases like Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work from IRS offices in specified locations. What Would Be Nice To Have: Knowledge of Section 508 standards and tools (e.g., JAWS). Experience supporting test automation and frameworks. Familiarity with performance testing tools (Splunk, OEM, etc.). Exposure to enterprise scheduling tools (Control-M, OpCon). Experience with IBM Rational ELM and IRS-specific documentation and tools.
