Title: Web Application Developer Location: Pearl River, New York, United States (Hybrid) Duration: 12 months contract (high possibility of extension) W2 Contract Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated web developer with exceptional programming skills to join our client in NY, contributing to the research efforts for various vaccine research programs. This individual will join as a member of Next-gen. Sequencing / Data Science to support scientific web application development projects. You will be actively coding to deliver scientific application platforms for diverse viral and bacterial vaccine research projects. You will be in the project meetings to present, communicate, and collect feedback to improve the products. A successful candidate will be passionate about problem solving, full-stack application development, and process automation to provide easy-to-use computational tools and large-scale database platforms. Additionally, this role involves exposure to AI/ML knowledge and the integration of AI/ML components into web applications. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Build and maintain web applications in Django framework Write well-structured, clean, and maintainable codes with clear comments and documentation Implementing the applications and bug fixes in timely manner Develop code that demonstrates best practices and follows industry standards Integrate cutting-edge AI/ML tools into the web application. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of experience in Django framework Strong coding skills in python Experience with SQL and MongoDB Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code Proficient in AI/ML workflows and concepts Basic understanding of biological molecules, such as DNA, RNA, and proteins Excellent task planning, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
