Overview
The Junior Research Integration Specialist will support FTSE Russell's Research team by facilitating the translation of research insights into practical applications. This role is ideal for someone who combines programming expertise with interest in quantitative finance and enjoys bridging research concepts with implementation. Based in Fort Mill, SC, this position will work closely with both research and technical teams to enhance research capabilities and methodologies. Key Responsibilities
Support the integration of research methodologies into detailed processes and analytical frameworks Develop technical tools and automated workflows that improve research efficiency and capability Translate research concepts and factor methodologies into structured, repeatable processes Collaborate on research projects that require both quantitative analysis and technical implementation Support the development of research infrastructure including data pipelines, analytical tools, and research platforms Analyze research workflows and find opportunities for automation and process improvement Create technical documentation for research methodologies, factor calculations, and analytical processes Assist in the development of research tools that support factor analysis, backtesting, and performance attribution Facilitate knowledge transfer between research teams and support consistent application of research methodologies Contribute to research validation processes and quality assurance frameworks Candidate Profile
Python programming experience with curiosity about applying technology to research problems Some background or proven interest in finance, quantitative methods, or investment research Strong problem-solving skill and willingness to learn technical implementation concepts Interest in automation, data analysis, and research methodology development Good communication skills for collaborating across research and technical teams Meticulous approach with dedication to quality and continuous learning Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics) Preferred Attributes

The anticipated base salary for this position is $102,300 - $170,500. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. This role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/bonus plan). Individual salary will reflect job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
