Lecturer-Pool Faculty of Education (Music Only University Supervisor) Spring 2026 - 1 Position to be filled Sam Houston State University is hiring for a part-time, non-tenure track University Supervisor role in the Office of the Dean - College of Education. This posting is for Spring 2026 semester and open until filled. Responsibilities
University supervisor faculty act as liaisons between partner school campuses and the University. Attend and participate in orientation meetings and trainings related to the T-TESSevaluation system. Observe, evaluate, and confer with each teaching candidate and mentor teacher. Collaborate with the Educator Preparation Program to facilitate planning, implementation, and evaluation of experiences that increase professional competence of teaching candidates. Locations and numbers of teaching candidates vary by need; supervision is based on student demand each semester. Qualifications
Minimum of a Master’s degree in a related field for lower level course offerings. Experience: Teaching certification in music and teaching experience preferred. Additional Details
Posting: Spring 2026 semester. Selected candidate will be asked for official transcripts for all degrees at hire.
