This is an onsite position reporting to the office full time and can be filled in The Woodlands, TX or New Orleans, LA. The selected candidate will be placed as an Engineer Senior, Senior Lead, or Senior Staff based on qualifications and experience. Those outside those areas would need to relocate. Relocation assistance is available for this posting.

Job Summary/Purpose

Entergy is looking for a talented, experienced, and innovative Project Engineer to be a part of the Power Development engineering team that will be driving innovation and technological advancements to enhance the reliability, affordability, and sustainability of our new renewable power generation systems. This role ensures that engineering is aligned with corporate goals and is complete, accurate and constructible for all elements of a project\'s scope.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and maintain the company’s standards in engineering design for new renewable generation plants, energy storage projects, and other zero or low carbon technologies. Contributes to the development of project deliverables as necessary during each step of the stage gate process. Supports and participates in the technical evaluation of project proposals to ensure conformance to technical standards. Participates in contractor/vendor selection process to ensure sufficient due diligence of their engineering experience, competencies, and capabilities. Assists in resolution of project technical queries (RFIs) and interface issues. Coordinates with the project team to ensure that design of projects are executed in accordance with appropriate codes, specifications, schedules, and good engineering practice. Manages the review of engineering and design to assure compliance with the contract, permits, codes, and utility design standards and supports the operations and maintenance goals of projects in development and execution. Ensures that engineering is complete, accurate and constructible for all elements of a project’s scope. Ensures that the drawings and design documents are organized and maintained in conjunction with all applicable requirements. Supports cross-functional team consisting of internal Subject Matter Experts, Owners Engineers, EPC contractors and technical consultants from development of project through Permitting, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Closeout. Oversees performance of contracted engineering, coordinates all contractor and owner's engineering interfaces, and ensures projects are completed according to project construction drawings, specifications, schedule, quality and performance requirements. Supports project construction and start-up on an as-needed basis. Assists project team with coordination of training and orientation of start-up personnel.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education Bachelor\'s degree in electrical, chemical, industrial, or mechanical engineering Minimum experience Engineer Sr:

6+ years of professional experience. (5+ years with a BS with a FE, or a MS with a PE or PMP). Engineer Sr Lead:

10+ years of professional experience. (8+ years with a BS with a FE, or a MS with a PE or PMP). Engineer Sr Staff:

12+ years of professional experience. (10+ years with a BS with a FE, or a MS with a PE or PMP).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills with strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 360. Strong interpersonal skills and leadership behaviors. Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to power generation, including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design of electrical power generating facilities. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of power generation facilities. Experience with reviewing, executing, and managing EPC contracts. Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Knowledge of Codes and Standards applicable to the construction of renewable power generation facilities. Desired:

Experience with utility-scale solar generating systems and components; Knowledge of inverter-based resources in renewable applications; Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS); Knowledge of SCADA and DAS systems; Knowledge of Transmission or Substation Design practices.

Certificates, Licenses, etc. Desired: Professional Engineer license and/or PMP certification.
