This role is crucial to ensuring that all traffic control devices meet the required standards as outlined in project plans, specifications, and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Responsibilities
Ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of traffic control devices Addressing any traffic-related issues Ensuring that traffic control devices can be installed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and the MUTCD, including initial setup and adjustments for traffic phase changes Promptly reporting any problems discovered prior to installation (e.g., sign conflicts, installation issues) to the Project Engineer (PE) or Project Supervisor (PS) for resolution On-site management: Directly involved in the daily operations at the construction site, managing tasks, resolving issues, and ensuring everyone follows safety protocols Assigning tasks, monitoring progress, managing resources (including materials and equipment), enforcing safety regulations, and reporting back to superiors Seniority level
