Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree required. Eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for the degree. Certification in construction trades (e.g., Master Welder, Master Electrician) or construction trades training certification (e.g., NCCER) preferred.
Experience
Minimum of three (3) years subject-related industry experience required. Community college, university teaching, or corporate training experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ability to deliver classes at client locations/facilities.
Professional appearance and presentation skills; clear oral and written communication.
Ability to attend certification classes as needed to comply with licensing requirements.
Ability to repair, maintain, and operate relevant machines and tools; ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a diverse environment and teach day or evening classes at multiple sites.
Proficiency with current technology and software; strong interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
Sensitivity to students from diverse backgrounds and the ability to motivate in a learning-centered environment.
Ability to customize training content to client objectives; knowledge of learning theory and leadership theories.
Ability to stay current with related field developments and to contribute to new curricula or programs.
Ability to meet deadlines for reports and complete all essential job functions.
