Senior Air Quality Engineer role at SLR Consulting (US). Based in Tomball, Texas. This position is an opportunity to join a dynamic and growing international environmental consulting organization. As our new senior-level Air Quality Engineer, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving our sustainability goals. Responsibilities
Prepare and oversee the preparation of air quality permit applications, including PSD and Title V. Review State, Federal, and Local regulations for applicability determinations and compliance tasking, staying current with new regulations and their potential impacts to clients. Provide compliance assistance for clients including data management, document review, and development of compliance tools. Work with clients from a variety of industries in various locations inside and outside of the United States. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the region. Travel to clients’ facilities for inspections and document review. Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments. Qualifications/Education/Memberships
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related scientific field required. 10+ years of hands-on related work experience. Knowledge of local and federal environmental regulations, such as Title V, PSD, GHG Reporting, NSPS, NESHAP, RMP. Experience with air compliance and permitting. Experience with reporting programs such as air emissions inventory, greenhouse gases, annual/semi-annual air permit reports, annual air compliance certifications, monthly air permit reports. Understanding of industrial operations and combustion equipment. Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software. Possess a valid driver’s license. Willing to travel by airplane and car, including overnight travel. Preferred experience in oil and gas, power generation, mining, or ports.
