These roles will support Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) through 4th grade students by providing psychological assessments, direct student services, and collaborative consultation with staff and families. Both part-time and full-time positions are available.
Key Responsibilities
Participate as a vital team member in the screening and comprehensive evaluation of students to determine eligibility for Special Education services. Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and other professionals to develop and implement student support strategies. Conduct parent-staff conferences to interpret evaluation results and provide practical, evidence-based recommendations. Offer consultation to educators, administrators, and families on psychological and educational concerns impacting student success. Stay current with best practices in child development and school psychology to recognize and respond to students academic, emotional, and behavioral needs. Provide short-term, solution-focused counseling and intervention services to students. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master's, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution Valid Minnesota School Psychologist license (or eligibility for licensure) Knowledge of Special Education law and processes Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills Experience working with students in early childhood and elementary settings preferred
Schedule and Location:
This can be a full or part time position Employment is for the duration of the school year, following the academic calendar (September 2, 2025 - June 5, 2026) Work will be based on-sitein Fridley, MN
