8-Week Contract Opportunity Location:
200 N. Robertson Blvd. Schedule/Shift:
Monday-Friday 08:30-17:30 and 1 weekend per month Required Qualifications
BLS certification from AHA or ARC Ophthalmic Assistant Certificate Experience with vision insurance and benefit plans Minimum of 6 months experience working in a vision center setting Preferred Qualifications
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Experience with VF, IOL, OCT, and Optos Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fit prescription lenses Prepare patients for examinations Take patient history and other preliminary patient data Perform simple non-invasive testing of visual acuity, pupils, and ocular motility Conduct automated visual field testing Perform ophthalmic photography and digital imaging Conduct tonometry and lensometry Perform non-subjective auto refraction Administer cycloplegiacs, mydriatics, and topical anesthetics for ophthalmic purposes Conduct pachymetry, keratometry, A scans, B scans, and electrodiagnostic testing Environmental cleaning and disinfection of clinical areas Assist in preparations for surgical and other clinical procedures, including equipment sterilization Provide instructions to patients concerning eye care and assist them in understanding and complying with prescribed treatments Seniority level
