This is an annual faculty position teaching medical-surgical nursing in the ABSN program at the Fresno campus. Reports to the Program Director. The role involves teaching and service, with responsibilities including curriculum development, student mentorship, clinical supervision, and participation in faculty and university committees. Responsibilities
Teaching (92%):
Create learner-centered environments, model reflective thinking, maintain subject competence, collaborate on curriculum integrity, prepare assessments, monitor student progress, supervise clinical rotations, and perform other instructional duties. Service (7%):
Participate in faculty meetings, university and college committees, community service, and student advising activities. Note: 1722 instructional and 150 service hours constitute the regular annual faculty appointment. Minimum Qualifications
Master’s in nursing required; doctorate preferred. Teaching experience at baccalaureate or higher level. Unencumbered California RN license or eligibility. Experience with healthcare leadership, academic institutions, and community organizations is preferred. Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Strong ethical and professional behavior. Alignment with the program’s mission, vision, and values. Additional Details
Full-time, exempt, salary range $81,000 - $108,000, based on qualifications and location.
