In-Home Caregiver - Personal Care Aide - Full Time
Join Hawaiian Legacy Care as an In-Home Caregiver - Personal Care Aide - Full Time. Hawaiian Legacy Care provides personalized, dignified care that honors our kupuna and supports individuals in living their best lives at home. As a Personal Care Aide, you’ll provide hands-on assistance with daily activities that help clients remain safe, healthy, and comfortable at home. Responsibilities: Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene Support safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation (inside and outside the home) Help clients with exercises or therapy activities as directed Monitor and report changes in condition or concerns to supervisors Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed Perform light housekeeping related to client care Provide companionship and emotional support Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements Document care provided in our agency system (AxisCare) Requirements: Age 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent preferred Nurse aide training, preferably with current CNA certification Prior caregiving experience (family or professional) strongly preferred CPR certification (American Heart Association) or willingness to obtain Knowledge of safe transfer techniques and personal care best practices Physical ability to lift, bend, and support clients as needed Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if required for assignments) Must be authorized to work in the United States Ability to pass background check and TB clearance per Hawaii law (HAR 11-700) What We Offer: Competitive pay with opportunities for advancement Flexible scheduling and shifts to fit your life Paid training, including CPR and specialized care skills Supportive, team-oriented culture The chance to make a meaningful difference every single day Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance coverage 401(k) retirement plan 1+ week paid leave per year Flexible, unpaid time off (personal & sick) Paid holidays and overtime pay Shift differentials for nights and weekends On-the-job training and skill development Potential for transportation assistance to & from work We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
