Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Viral Hepatitis, Chronic Liver Diseases, and Inflammation related publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and other scientific materials. Write, edit, and proofread scientific content for publication in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations, with a focus on key topics. Identify clear, scientifically appropriate ways to communicate Gilead data in collaboration with cross-functional leads. Collaborate with Liver Disease and Inflammation thought leaders to adjudicate and revise publications. Conduct literature searches and gather relevant data to support scientific arguments and conclusions. Ensure compliance with publication guidelines and ethical standards (e.g., ICMJE, GPP, CONSORT). Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and accuracy. Work closely with researchers and clinicians to ensure accurate interpretation and communication of scientific data. Stay current with developments in the field, including new therapies, treatments, and regulatory changes, and communicate relevant information to internal teams. Engage with professional societies (e.g., ISMPP) to understand the evolving publications landscape. Operate with knowledge of publication databases (e.g., Datavision or equivalent). Basic Qualifications

10+ years with BS/BA OR 8+ years with MS/MA or MBA Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline (Ph.D., MD, PharmD) with 5–8 years’ experience in publication development, preferably in Viral Hepatitis, Chronic Liver Diseases, and Inflammation within the pharmaceutical industry. Therapeutic area experience CMPP certification preferred Strong understanding of current publication environment, guidelines (ICMJE, GPP4, Sunshine Act, Pharma Code), transparency standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reference management software Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences Strong attention to detail and ability to critically analyze data and literature Familiarity with publication planning, authorship criteria, disclosures, and journal/congress submission guidelines Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently People Leader Accountabilities

Salary ranges: Bay Area: $195,670.00 - $253,220.00; Other US Locations: $177,905.00 - $230,230.00. Eligible for discretionary bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, PTO, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
